黒龍

This is the first Kuzuryu (九頭龍) offering by Kokuryu Brewery in the United States, and also the first junmai (純米) that is ever produced under this label. This sake is named so after the underground Kuzuryu river that flows beneath the brewery, the water of which is obtained from this natural spring. As with Kokuryu's other offerings, this sake uses the Gohyaku mangoku (五百萬石) strain of rice and pours a crystal clear color with medium legs. On the nose are notes of peaches, jasmine, musk, Fuji apples, mineral and a bit of yeasty funk. On the palate, the sake is rather soft and supple with a creamy, brooding texture - nothing too brazen or angular. Slight heat from the alcohol hits first, followed by a mellow concentration of tarte tatin, cinnamon, apple cider, ripe melons and pears. Decent kick of acidity in the end to make a clear cut. Meanwhile, the finish is quite expansive yet mellow. Quite a decent brew.

あっさりとやっつけちゃいます。名前はイカついけどね。

さっぱりして、華やかさもある。

昔飲んだ時は、もっと美味しかった気がする...

開栓時は正直キツかった(-｡-; 捨てようかとさえ思った。
でも、開栓後、徐々にツーンとくるキツイ香りが無くなり、本日7日目にはほんのり甘く香り、スッキリした味わい。
分からないもんですねー

熱燗専用の九頭竜も良いけど、この辛口も好き

純米吟醸は初めて飲んだけど、意外とあっさり系。夏ぽいね。

メロンぽい香りとすっきり辛口。
特吟。

キリッとした飲み口。
黒龍うまいなぁ。

爽やかで軽やかが、今後変わっていくか期待

３日目、最後までサラッとした飲み口。
コクをあまり感じなかった。
自分としては、物足りない。
